Web banner

Dear Parents and Carers,

Erina High School extends an invitation to all parents, carers and students in both Year 8 and Year 10 to attend our Subject Selection Information Evening. The evening is designed to provide information on subject availability and guide students and their families in appropriate subject selection for 2023.

Thursday, June 9th 2022 - Erina High School MPC

YEAR 8 Students & Parents 5:00pm – 6:15pm

YEAR 10 Students & Parents 6:30pm – 8:00pm

In an effort to make subject selection clearer and easier to understand, your son/daughter will be provided with the Subject Selection Booklet for their relevant year group in advance. We strongly encourage you to go through this booklet with your child. The booklet can also be accessed through the Sentral Student and Parent Portal and the Erina High School website.

During the school day of Thursday June 9th, students will be given the opportunity to listen to information on all courses being offered for 2023. This will be facilitated by faculty representatives who will detail course descriptions and offer advice on all subjects offered within the faculty. The aim of this day session is to raise awareness of options and generate potential interest for students. Parents/carers and students are encouraged to attend the Subject Selection Evening armed with any questions that will be answered by faculty representatives and provide individual advice based on our students aims and aspirations.

Students will make course selections online and provide a printed copy of their choices signed by a parent/carer to the relevant Deputy Principal. Year 8 students to Mr Joyce and Year 10 to Mr Ward by the June 30th (Thursday Week 10, Term 2).

In Term 3, our Year 10 students will be interviewed regarding the subjects they have chosen by the Careers and Transition Team. This is to ensure selections have been made based on aptitude and student goals. We look forward to supporting your child through their subject selection process.

Kind Regards,

Mr. Broadbent (Principal) | Mr. Ward (Rel Deputy Principal Y10-12) | Mr. Joyce (Deputy Principal Y7-9)
